I started tinkering with this idea a while and decided to change a few chunks. I wanted to experiment with dwarves and wanted something more like a character sketch than a ‘story’.

I’m dog-sitting this week, so I used that as a prompt. A little bit of a fantasy twist, but I think it’s a neat character sketch.
As a plant lover, I often dream of my own garden. Wouldn’t it be great to have a little helper to keep everything in order while we’re away? Enjoy!

But just because it’s the end doesn’t mean that the story is over, does it? Think of that as the prequel to a new tale:
A while ago, in a writing group, I had someone tell me that they really enjoyed my visual descriptions. They said that they were very clear and they could imagine the setting and characters perfectly. After that workshop, I decided to challenge myself a little and wrote a piece without using visual descriptions. Enjoy!
